Well, I think they're lovely. Some mauve there, I believe. Mauve, that's just fun to say.
How 'ya doing, dear? Too busy, I'm sure. The sun is peeking out so we may dry up a bit. Mudwise 'twould be very nice.

Jack and my friend John Way who had 20/20 (even blind drunk) until the last days of his life at 85, was always correcting everybody on correct colors. He was a set designer for the USO when he was in the Navy stationed in Hawaii in WII.

After the war he designed costumes and sets for the Pacadena Playhouse and later he created color schemes & squiggles for Formica Inc.

The man was a color specialist and I remember him distinctly saying to me once Lew that is not purple, it's aubergine. He precision shamed me into being sharper about color schemes onstage.

Similarly, I learn from your photos, luv. and yes mauve is often overlooked. I'm sure John would agree.

Great story, dear. Aubergine, also fun to say. And I had to look these colors up. Had to! My diminishing mind needed the accuracy of definitions. Had Jack or John been here we could have instantly known, alas.
For all who don't know immediately (and care), mauve is any delicate purple. Aubergine is eggplant purple. Wordswordswords. And I don't even like purple.
